I heart Google

I just wanted to share a few things from my Google Analytics stats. Specifically, which search terms brought people here (and heck if I know if they actually STAY, because the stuff they wanted is not exactly what my blog is made of).
I’m using a new account to track these, and I’ve only been tracking since a few days ago, so there are only two good ones so far. Here they are, for your enjoyment:
“how to know when a casserole is done”
“turkey smells”
Well, I’ll tell you. A casserole is done when it’s crunchy on top and steamy enough on the inside to burn your finger if you’re stupid enough to stick it in there to test the relative done-ness. Also, if you are following a recipe, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. They will tell you how long to let it bake. If you are not following a recipe and have made up your own, perhaps you should have researched approximate bake times BEFORE you put your creation in the oven.  I applaud inspiration and invention, but if you have to quit just before it gets good because you didn’t think of all the potential issues, then you end up being stupid instead of smart. (Not that I haven’t DONE this, you understand. I speak from experience!)
I really don’t know what to say about the turkey smells. When they’re being prepared correctly, they smell heavenly. If you’re doing it wrong, it smells awful. The same thing goes for a casserole.
