Wordcount for yesterday was 1,982 words total. Hooray! This is a good start, although my muse is currently not cooperating very well and, in fact, is either having a snit or is ignoring my cries for help because she is absent.
But I don’t have time to worry about her, because here is a list of things I am intending to do/accomplish/finish/drive myself insane doing this November:
- Wear makeup almost every day. This is because I have slidden into a terrible habit – at least I think it is a terrible habit – of barely ever bothering with my appearance unless I’m taking a photo of myself or I’m worried I might look unkempt. I bought some new cute makeup that looks great on me, and DAMMIT I need to USE it!
- Dye my hair red. It’s been months and months and it feels all faded out and unhappy to me. I want it vibrant again, even if it’s just for a little while – darn pregnant hormones make hair dye fade pretty quickly.
- Make myself a month-long meal plan so I don’t have to think about what’s for dinner. I think that’s pretty self-explanatory.
- Remember to put meat out to thaw in time for aforementioned planned-out meals. Again, self-explanatory, although I can tell you it might be funny years from now how often I forget to do this – but right now it is NOT FUNNY AT ALL. Just frustrating!
- Pad my daily writing goal as many days as possible. The goal is 1,667 words a day (that’s 50k words divided by 30 days, roughly), but I am trying for as close to two thousand per day, just to be nice to myself. Because we all know that there will be days that will be FULL OF CRAPPINESS, for the simple reason that you cannot have an entire month of perfect days.
- Finish Serenity’s baby blanket. It’s already about 1/5 or so done (maybe more), and it’s been the perfect thing to just knit on while I watch some shows in the evening or when I visit my Mamow’s house.
- Update my blog design with a different color combination. I’ve been wanting to do this for a month or more, but I have been wayyyyy too busy. I played around with it a little today, and I think I might actually be close to a color combo that I like AND that won’t look totally weird. I’m leaving the layout exactly the same as it already is, but I’m going to change up the colors. Hopefully.
- Take breaks from writing, homeschooling, knitting, blogging, and working every day. I have so much to do this month that I’m a little concerned I might forget to breathe, and that would be bad. Also, I get enough Braxton-Hicks contractions as it is – it would be insanely stupid of me to push myself over the line from healthy-pregnant to bedrest-pregnant.
- Make a cheesecake just for me. And then I might even post the recipe! AFTER I EAT IT ALL, HAHAHAAAA!
If you think this list is long and ridiculous, you should see the list of things I CAN’T do because of being pregnant, but that I keep trying to convince myself are doable anyhow. Like paint the bathroom (would have to be on a stool, also it is close quarters, did I mention I am in my third trimester?), rake the yard (but the leaves are so prettyyyyy, I want to jump in them), wash all the upstairs windows (every time I try this, I get too many crampy contractions and have to sit down for a half hour), make curtains for about eight windows (I have ZERO sewing skillz and really don’t need to be ruining fabric until I have some help)… and so on.
Well, I’m hungry, so I’m not writing any more right now. Off to forage through the cupboards. See you later!
