Your disclaimer, right at the beginning: all the links to the Raw Foods Witch’s Cure Cravings Forever program are affiliate links, because that is just exactly how incredibly awesome this program is for me. It’s good enough for me to recommend it to you. :)
So I was on Twitter the other day
…and I saw that Nathalie, the Raw Foods Witch, was doing a talk on eating more raw foods.
Huh, I thought. Raw foods? Sounds… weird. Like she’s one of those people that likes to deny themselves anything that tastes good. But I love to click on things, so I clicked and saw her doing a video talking about how she used to eat foods that were bad for her, was always craving candy and cake and other sugary stuff, and had trouble with bad skin and weight she couldn’t seem to shake off.
The more I read about her issues with food and her solution to them – vegetables and other raw foods, the more I wondered if that might fix MY ongoing problems with headaches, extra weight (oh hai, four pregnancies), and the fact that I get sick ALL THE DAMN TIME.
Here is where I admit what bad relationship with vegetables I have always had
I never really cared for vegetables, to tell you the truth.
I avoid the green beans on my plate, take as tiny a scoop of corn as I possibly can, and never on purpose will I eat peas, asparagus, or much of anything else. Pass the bread, pasta, and steak, please – you can keep your nasty veggies!
Once I signed up for Nathalie’s Cure Cravings Forever program, I realized that the reason I hated vegetables so much is that they were COOKED. And then I realized that I had been led to believe that eating raw food will make you sick. BOY WAS I WRONG. (And also, who told me that? I need to shake them!)
And so now, me and vegetables are like best friends
Not only am I eating vegetables and actually enjoying them, but Nathalie has also taught me how to prepare raw food in a ton of different ways (she gives you menus! and shopping lists! and recipe books!), and believe it or not – it all tastes really good.
My husband Troy and I are seeing huge emotional health improvements for both of us now that we have started eating more raw foods; we feel less stressed in general, and when you have four kids and two at-home businesses, THAT IS HUGE.
My kids all love the green smoothies we eat daily, and they’re all getting to be completely awesome at eating big salads and other great raw foods with their meals. The baby actually gets angry if she thinks we’re holding up giving her the smoothie breakfast she’s come to expect, and throws a teeny (yet very loud) baby fit about it.
If you’re on the fence, you can just go read her page about it
And not only can you read the page about the Cure Cravings Forever program, which is a long page and has lots of awesome information on it (including me! I’m on the page too!), you can also click here and get a free desserts recipe book without having to pay a darn thing.
I feel better than I have in years, and I actually have lost some pounds without doing it on purpose. I focused on eating better the Raw Foods Witch way, and voila – I feel magically better. ;)
I have headaches FAR less often, I don’t have that weird afternoon sleepy slump every day, I have begun losing weight, I’m not getting sick every week like normal, and best of all – I feel better. Bonus = my husband feels better. What’s not to love? Go on and check it out, even if you don’t want to buy it. Just reading about it might change your perspective on food enough to make a difference for you.

Wow, I had a nearly identical conversation with Sarah on the way home from work yesterday, regarding cooked veggies and how they are gross, but raw veggies are awesome. And how I’ve felt much better since we started adding more veggies to our lives.
STOP READING MY MIND
Yay for raw veggies! I totally didn’t like cooked veggies either, even though they were somehow considered “dinner” but crunchy raw carrots were just a snack?! ;)
Thanks so much for writing such a lovely review Rachael! I’m so happy to hear of your success with the program, it warms my heart. And yay for the people who have already signed up, I know it’s going to rock their world too. Yay for veggies and feeling better!
You are absolutely right. I love to eat raw veggies, they are definitely more flavorful than cooked. Just add some exercise regime to your schedule and you can say good bye to most health problems. Thanks for sharing your experiences :)
