A whole lotta Not Much.

You guys (I think I start far too many of these posts with some form of ‘you guys’, but since I’m always talking to, well, YOU GUYS, it seems really appropriate) - you guys, I have had almost NOTHING to talk about since the last time I posted.

Okay, actually, that is not entirely true. I have done a buttload of stuff since then, but it just hasn’t seemed blog-worthy.

For instance, yesterday I performed my admirable and awesome web-admin duties and transferred one of my best friends’ entire website, blog and all, to my new hosting platform. Then I upgraded her to Wordpress 2.5. AND NOTHING BAD HAPPENED!

(I know. I’m still knocking on wood over here too.)

Exciting for me? HELL YES. Exciting for you? Probably not so much. It involved a lot of pre-planning, making little lists on tiny sticky notes in my hacked faux-Moleskine, and crossing each one off as it was done. And giggling hysterically every time.

Earlier in the week, we all went to a nearby park that also happens to have a beach. The kids had a huge, gigantic, good time, and I have lots of pictures. I will be sure and post them as soon as I can get myself to sift through all of them and edit the best ones. I have a problem with taking too damn many pictures, and then I can’t bear to throw any away unless they’re horribly blurry, so I’m stuck with a problem. It’s a good problem, but it’s still a problem. A several-hundred-awesome-pictures-per-month problem. So, again, not very blog-worthy - I mean, who wants to read about people having fun outside without being able to SEE the fun? Not you guys! (I assume.)

Then today, we had a big loud thunderstorm! And tornado warnings! Except that we’re lucky enough to live in the area that only got the fringe effects, so all we got was dark threatening skies and lots of windiness and pelting rain. Not even any hail, which I am thankful for. The last thing I want - or need - is my outside stuff (or my trailer, lol) with hail-sized dents in it.

Again, not a blog-worthy happening.  What? You had a tornado?! Well, no. Not really. Well, but you had trees down from a violent thunderstorm, right? Branches everywhere? Cats and dogs up trees? Ah, no, not really, no. Mostly just the weatherman on Channel 25 having lots of fun zooming into his doppler or whatever, trying to freak everyone out that was ‘IN THE VICINITY!’ with proclamations that there MIGHT BE some weather. Probably. Oh look, it went that way. Ha! You’re safe!

Right now I have a headache, because this kind of weather always makes my sinuses angry. It’ll be gone by tomorrow probably, unless there’s another barometric-pressure-changing storm lurking about in the night.

And soon, I have a meme to post! Mister Sixty is making me do it. ;)
