9: Tired of being sick.

I get headaches a lot. Bad, nasty, head-full-of-pain-and-pressure headaches. I normally get between two and four of them a month, but they’ve been getting closer together and also feeling worse each time. I can’t do anything when I get them, because they involve my entire body - I get dizzy sometimes, nauseated most of the time, and my vision gets a little blurry on whichever side of my head is being squeezed the worst. My brain doesn’t want to function as well when my skull feels like it’s about to split and topple right off my neck, so every time I have a headache like this, it pretty much shoots my whole day to heck.
Yesterday was one of those days, and in the midst of it, I decided that I was DONE having them. I don’t want to have them any more, or at least not as often. I’ve made an appointment with a chiropractor this afternoon, and I’m changing my diet for this week too (and probably for longer than that, if it does what I’m hoping it will do).
No processed foods if I can avoid it, and no meat. Fruits, veggies, vitamins, coffee, and whole grain bread. Also a little cheese and some organic roasted twig tea that I found which tastes really good.
I’ll let you know if my little experiment is working at all… at this point, I feel like I’m willing to do anything. I just can’t handle not being able to function for a third of every month, which is what it’s been turning into.
Wish me luck.
…
:Edit:
So far today, I’ve had fruit/veggie drinks, tea, a sandwich made entirely of vegetables (cucumbers, broccoli & clover sprouts, red bell pepper, portabello mushrooms, and grean leaf lettuce, with soft neufschatel cheese spread on the bread), one ‘meal bar’ containing organic ingredients and a bunch of vitamin C, water, coffee with cream, and more tea.
Also I just went and got my very first chiropractic adjustment. He took x-rays beforehand, and EEK. My neck is so messed up. Most of you may not remember or know, but several years ago I was in a bad car accident, and it appears to have caused me some long-term damage. My neck is all messed up and crooked, and it will take a while to fix it.
The good news, though? I KNOW (some of) WHAT’S WRONG NOW. Now I can go about getting it fixed. And I’m not giving up the organic/vegetarian stuff for a while yet either, because I know that I’ve been putting too many toxins in my body and it needs to stop, at least for now, so that I can get better and start over fresh.
Thanks for the luck-wishing and prayers. You guys are awesome to care. :)
P.S. I LOVE HAVING MY BACK ADJUSTED HOLY MOTHER OF BABY JESUS, I CANNOT BELIEVE I’VE NEVER HAD THIS DONE BEFORE. (I’m sure Jesus is wondering why as well, lol.)

Sucks that you’ve been feeling so sick lately but at least now you know what it is that’s causing it. Which means eventually it should straighten itself out (no pun intended). In the meantime, feel better! :)
