68: That’s because my eyes are too big for my stomach.

Blogged on Wednesday, October 24th, 2007 by Rachael. Filed in Blop, Nano, Randomness.

Hey, do you know what? It’s almost November. And, of course, what that means (at least around here) is that I am going to be a) posting something here every day, and b) attempting 50,000 words again. The second thing, at least, is enough fodder for a whining and/or desperately frantic post each day. So I’m sure you’re very much looking forward to it. I know *I*am.

Actually, since there are so many of us narcissistic bloggers out there participating in NaBloPoMo anyway, those of you who are still faithfully reading the blogs by said bloggers are going to be either really sorry you did it, or you’ll give up right away anyhow. (In case you didn’t catch it, that’s your cue to RUN. Oh, and to delete all those blogs out of your feed reader. Go! Now! Get away while you still can!!)

…What, you’re still here? Well, you can’t say I didn’t warn you. Prepare yourself for a month of pure and unadulterated (mostly) suckage. If we are all so blessed, I might write something once that seems mostly meaningful, even if it’s a half-hearted promise not to ever do this again. And we all know *that* would be a horrible, horrible lie. Feel perfectly free to lob tomatoes and other squishy vegetation at my blog when that happens - I’m sure that ruining your monitor will be the only way to cleanse my filthy lying from your poor assaulted mind.

Which of you are also BloPoMo-ing? Or Nano-ing? Or anything at all in November anyway-ing?

    I’m nanoing, maybe not BloPoMoing.

I should create a random thing so I can go up to random people and say “What do you mean you’re not RoMaNoing?”

I’ll be doing BloPoMo, not Nano this year. Decided I just couldn’t manage both and one 120k novel is enough for now. ;)

Geez, you people impress me. I’m not doing either this year, but maybe next year when both kids are in school. I just don’t want to promise what I can’t deliver.

Wandered in from your Flickr site - and I’mglad to see that you seem to be doing well (well beingan entirely relative & subjective term of course).

The Nano BloPoMo (heee! sorry - that makes me giggle - kind of like whenever I see a $40K Hummer drive by…) (*ahem*) seems like an interesting event, but I personnaly don’t know that I have that much in me to blog THAT relentlessly.

But that is ME and if you feel you can muster that sort of ’suckage’ I’d still be interested in seeing whatcha got!

    Good Luck!

Well, hello, Latro(Chris)! I haven’t Flickr-ed in so long, it’s shameful. I have all these great photos lying around too… okay, that was mostly a lie. I do have some that I think are pretty awesome, but I’ve been keeping them to myself. Perhaps I’ll manage to get a few up during BloP, lol. (You’re right, that IS funny and gigglicious.)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your head doesn’t explode from all the impending doom, although it seems you’re rather enjoying it. You’re welcome to stay as long as you like. :)

Alas! You ARE missed on Flickr - by me at least. As I last recall things were getting… difficult for you. I’m just glad to see that you seem in a better these days.

And believe me I know the difficulties keeping up on things like Flickr &c. - I have my own times when its hard to be motivated to contribute to an online space. My own blog (http://www.xanga.com/Latro331) has suffered the last two months because of my own situation. But…I’m getting better too, and finding the time to sit and think and… welll… DO stuff.

That’s why I’ve enjoyed peeking at your bloggie - your joi de vivre in writing here is inspiring and infectuous.

And if my head DOES explode (ick), I’ll try to leave as little a mess as possible.

Hai, Chris! I went and visited your blog and everything - had to reset my xanga password, lol, because I haven’t been over there in months and months. I particularly enjoyed all the photos you posted, and your own writing style is intriguingly amusing.

    :D
