53: International Bloggity Day!
Blogged on Thursday, June 14th, 2007 by Rachael. Filed in Randomness.
Okay, so it’s International WEBLOGGER’S Day today. Yay us! All of us webloggers, I mean, although nowadays we go by ‘bloggers’, yo. Because that’s how we roll.
The theme this year (we have a theme! who knew!) is solidarity. Specifically, the solidarity we as bloggers (yo) have together here on the internets, both positive and negative.
I don’t have anything especially wise or witty to say about solidarity, and your understanding of solidarity might be somewhere far away from mine, but to me it means loyalty.

Solidarity? Togetherness. It means unity of goal, loyalty to one another, commonality of path. It means standing up beside someone despite opposition or hardship. It means standing up behind someone when they face opposition and hardship.
I had no idea there was a bloggers day. :) How cool!

Ooo. I love your definition of solidarity - great words. I love the beside & behind meanings. :)

Peggy, hi, girl! I do have an account, but it’s deactivated right now. Too much personal drama was resulting from it, ROFL.
