26: Spring is coming!

Blogged on Monday, March 12th, 2007 by Rachael. Filed in Randomness.

You know what’s nearly impossible? Trying to talk about something OTHER THAN what’s been happening at my house and in my life these past few weeks. It’s not a good idea for me personally to reveal everything here, so I keep holding it back - but I’m hard pressed to come up with other things to blog about, and for that I apologize.

I did come up with a short list of (way lame, I’m warning you) things I can at least mention, so that this blog doesn’t turn into my-drama-of-the-week (otherwise known as a soap opera).

  • I bought a broom and paper plates (among other things) at W@l-mart over the weekend and do you know what? The cashier forgot to put them in my cart! And I didn’t even notice until wayyyy after I was home! Stupid stupid stupid. And you know it won’t be easy to go back several days later and say, oh hey! I paid for a broom and paper plates and I didn’t get them! They’re not in my house, I swear!! Ha.
  • My driveway is all mud and thawing ice now that spring is apparently here. Yay for spring, gross for my yard and driveway (and the road too, ew). I hate mud on my shoes.
  • Daylight savings time… I despise thee. Yet another reason to move to Arizona - they don’t follow DST down there. Sniff. Whine. (Yeah, I know I’m whining a lot. You got a problem with that?!) And adding insult to injury, my cell phone didn’t automatically kick in the new time during the early watches of the night like I expected it to; and this is bad, because my cell phone is my alarm clock. So! I had to be up earlier than normal on Sunday to get to worship band practice anyway, and I barely woke up with enough time to shower and get the kids up. Eek!
  • I’m going to start up my 365 project on Flickr again, and I’m calling it: 365 Redux. Yeah. Tell me that ain’t just the coolest thing ever. ;)

Now that you’re totally bored, I’m done. Whew. I made it through a whole post of random stuff! Hooray for me!

Our alarm clock is supposed to automatically reset, and it didn’t, and if I hadn’t been woken up by my imagination that Isaac was awake and talking, we would have been way late for church as well and Terry needed to be there for choir and the new pastor candidate was preaching…..how’s that for run on?

Muddy driveways always seem to preceed spring. LOVE YOU ALL. Please take a hugg from me to you and pass three on to the kidds. Thankyou.
