20: About Buffy.

I’m just going to repost this that I put up on one of my other blogs; in case you’ve been curious or wondering about how my sister is doing.

i know a lot of you are praying for and wondering about buffy, so here is an update for you:

last evening, she had an ERCP at mclaren regional medical center, and was under a pretty heavy amount of anesthesia for it. she looked, as she does when she’s very very sick, like death. :p

she had wanted to come home last night, because the doctors in charge of her told her that after the ERCP she should be able to go home and do the gall bladder surgery as an outpatient - but they weren’t done until almost 8:30pm, and she was full of drugs and feeling quite awful.

this morning, will called (because he was a dutiful fiance and drove up here over the weekend), and told us that she has pancreatitis. so, NO, she can’t come home. she misses her noah and she’s tired of being in the hospital, but when you’re badly sick it’s still the best place to be so that you get the care you need.

this hospital seems really… slow, for lack of a ruder term, and we have all had to push a lot to get anything done. so if you could please pray, when you pray, that not only will buffy be able to recover soon and get completely better, but that the hospital itself won’t twiddle its thumbs and wait around and drag things on forever. and you should also pray for will to have extra gumption, because he’s up there and should be helping advocate for her. ;)
