I have been re-invited to the Blogging Chicks webring, and since Michele was so nice as to notice I am now blogging here, I put the code in right away. Even though it doesn’t match my new decor at all. I liked being in that ring before, and I know it’ll be good here too.

I did more Christmas shopping last night, and I actually found something for everyone on that list, which was quite nice. I hate having a list that doesn’t become neatly checked off. But I still have more to buy! Ech. Oh well - I’m managing to be un-humbuggy enough that I might actually put up some decorations when I go home. Maybe. Don’t get too excited, now.

Yesterday’s playing of Christmas music at church was very fun, like it always is, and also like always, the practice was better than the actual thing. The important thing is that all the congregation was like “We loved that! Hooray for you guys! Yay!” So if they liked it, it’s all good, I guess.

I’ve decided that we (as in the five of us who live in my teeny house) are going to Mom and Dad Linsley’s house for the 23rd/24th, and we will pop corn in the woodstove and read the Christmas story out of a big Bible and sit around in our pajamas and cuddle. And it will be wonderful. (Dad, I know you’re reading this, and if you’re tearing up right about now then I’ve done my job.)

It’s about family, right? Family and friendships and those bonds that are deepest between us. Christmas is just a grand reason to get together and BE together. I guess I can have some Christmas spirit if that’s one of the reasons for it. :)
